1940's Black
silk taffeta evening gown. Sweetheart
neckline. Gathers in the bust line.
Pleated trim on both sides of the bust
area, the trim goes up the front over the
shoulders and down the back. The gown is
sleeveless, The pleated trim hangs over
the shoulders and gives a cap sleeve. The
pleated trim has a off white lace around
the outside edges. The trim has yellowed a
bit. "V" waist seam. Gathered skirt. floor
length. Side metal zipper. The only flaw
is that the off white lace trim has
yellowed. and under the left arm slight
underarm discolor, not noticeable when
worn. The fading you see on the photo is
not there, that is a trick of the camera.
Excellent Condition. 34 inch bust, 26 inch
waist and hips free, 54 inches long from
shoulder to hem.

1940's Navy
and white gabardine suit. Joan Crawford
style. Medium size pointed collar, 3
button closure, buttons are covered with
like fabric. The first button needs a
repair. Suit has long sleeves, padded
shoulders,natural waistline, 9 inch
peplum. 2 hip pockets in front. Jacket has
hand details around the lapels, down the
front, along the edges of the pockets. The
back of the jacket has a yoke with hand
details. Jacket is lined in navy crepe.
Bust 34 inches, waist 28 inches. Straight
style skirt, side metal zipper, lower mid
calf length. The skirt has a 3 inch hem
and it's only basted . The jacket/ peplum
has only one flaw a tiny insect hole near
the side seam on the right side. The skirt
has one small insect hole on the right
side 3 inches from the center seam, 6
inches down from the waist it's just a dot
hole. Jacket has one dot hole on the right
above the bust. Skirt is 26 inch waist, 38
inch hips and 29 inches long. Label

green cotton skirt. A line shape. one
pocket on the right hip. 8 button closure
in the front. Buttons are a little smaller
than a dime and are mother of pearl. Skirt
has 4 button holes both back and front on
the waist band, must have had shoulder
straps at one time. Waist 26 inches, 40
inch hips and 29 inches long. Mint

pink silky rayon dress with a white dot
print. Standard collar. Padded shoulders,
Smocking in front of the shoulders.Double
elbow length cape sleeves, Natural waist
line. Gored skirt . Dress buttons down the
front with dime size buttons. Belt at the
waist. The dots on the upper back, collar
and a little on the sides have yellowed
slightly. Stain on the inside of collar
not noticeable when worn. Belt has wear on
it. Otherwise the dress is in Excellent
Condition. 38 inch bust, 30 inch waist, 40
inch hips and 43 inches long from shoulder
to hem.

1930's/ 40's
Sheer rayon mauve and off white evening
gown. Gown is off white semi sheer rayon
with an overlay of sheer mauve. Side metal
zipper. Low scoop neck line in front and
back. Neck line is trimmed with 2 ruffles,
one on top of the other. Mauve ruffle on
top and off white ruffle on the bottom.
Elastic around the shoulders , the gown
can be worn on the shoulders or off the
shoulder style. Natural waist line with no
seam. A double ruffle around the hips. The
skirt starts at the hips and is gathered.
Gown might be home made no labels. Gown is
in mint condition except some minor
soiling at the bottom of the hem where it
touches the floor. Bust 34 inches, waist
26 inches, hips 36 inches and 58 inches
long.
